Bad Bad Cats

Liverpool poet Roger McGough, ‘a trickster you can trust’, is a poetry party-thrower of positively ear-popping proportions.  He wrote a book of poems for children called Bad Bad Cats.  It’s full of terrapins, bossy adults, bottom-eating alligators, magic and Where’s Wally.  What rhymes with banana?

EUREKA! DRIVE-IN MOVIE & FIREWORKS

Saturday 12 July 8.30pm

Tickets: £6 per car (up to 4 people), £1.50 per person on foot

Ever fancied yourself as a Pink Lady or a T-bird?  Now’s your chance as Grease (PG) comes to Eureka!  An enormous outdoor screen and speakers will allow everyone to watch the film from their own cars in true 50s drive-in style!  If you want to leave the car at home, there will be space to bring a picnic and mat and enjoy the film.

Eureka! is once again opening up to Calderdale residents for free for a whole weekend!  There will be lots of additional activities on offer to celebrate the end of The July Project 2008.  Look out for street entertainers, balloon modelling, iron giants, beach games and snow!

PEOPLE’S PARK FESTIVAL

People’s Park

Sunday 13 July 12noon-6pm

Free entry

People’s Park Festival is a multi-cultural festival of music and the arts.  This is a fun-filled family event with live musical acts, a variety of stalls, food and drink, a bouncy castle for younger children, children’s entertainers – and much more! 

 

THE HALIFAX TRAIL

Sunday 13 July 12noon - 3pm

To celebrate Eureka! opening for free to Calderdale residents and the People’s Park Festival, we’ve created a trail between the two events.  There will be live entertainment from the following groups and a prize if you can answer all the questions on the trail quiz.
