Battle of the Bands - Get vInvolved!

Square Chapel Centre for the Arts

Thursday 9 July - 7.30pm

Are your band the next Oasis or are you the next Amy Winehouse?

If you’re in a band and you think you’re Calderdale’s next big thing, get involved in the Battle of the Bands competition.

Open to all bands aged 11-19, this event will rock the roof off the Square Chapel.   A team of experienced musicians and music ‘pundits’ will be judging the event, and the winners will receive a chance to record their own demo CD in a professional standard studio, plus get loads of gigs at future Calderdale Events. They’ll be interviewed on local radio, spreading the sound of their success across the airwaves!

We also need motivated 16-25 year olds to get involved in organising this event, assisting with marketing and promotions, acting as stewards on the night of the event, helping the 'Tecchies' with their work behind the scenes.

If you want to get vInvolved with any of these jobs, or you just want your band to be the hottest sound around, contact Karen Allen on 01422 317797 or email V@ryburn.calderdale.sch.uk  to find out what happens next.
